The larger of Wangat's gorgeous self-contained bush cottages, Clancy Cottage is set amongst the trees of our beautiful rainforest, and has all you need for a romantic getaway, nature connected friends weekend, or a family holiday.
With 3 sleeping areas, it can sleep up to 7 people, including bunks. Enjoy multiple indoor and outdoor sitting spaces; a well equipped kitchen; a covered deck, a cozy lounge with indoor fire, and outdoor fire pit.
Wake up to bird song, and make breakfast in a light filled open kitchen/ dining area. Feel instantly connected to the bush outside the beautiful bay windows, or step through the french doors to sit surrounded by trees
Away from wifi, kids find new ways to play, connect and explore nature when here. While adults find a place to unwind. Meander down the multiple paths through the rainforest, to the edge of the spectacular Chichester River. With 1km of river front to explore you can: swim in the pebbly river beach of Platypus Pool, plunge into the deep swimming holes in Figtree Pool, play in fun rapids, or enjoy the stillness of the bridge of silence. Or venture further afield with a guided bush walk.
In the afternoon glow through the trees, build a fire as the day turns to night. The frogs call, and the bandicoots squeak, as the fire crackles. Share a special celebration meal at the dining table, or a simple outdoor BBQ, and chats around the fire pit, or relax in the lounge. The choice is yours. Then gaze at the blanket of stars before snuggling under the blankets in your warm beds.
A stay here will give you time and space to properly connect and create memories away from the hustle and bustle of busy life. Clancy Cottage is not just a cosy, comfortable and character filled stay, but an experience you will cherish.

Open plan living space has one bunk bed (2 singles).
There is a separate nook with privacy curtain with the “deluxe bunk” (1 queen (lower) & 1 single (upper)).
Rates
Minimum 2-night stays (3-nights for long weekends) though we will consider last minute 1-night bookings subject to a 50% surcharge.
