Gumnut cottage, is a gorgeous rustic studio cottage with massive windows looking straight into the rainforest. You can’t get much closer to nature than this!

Gumnut is the most secluded and rustic of our cottages, with a path straight from the patio, down to the river edge. The perfect place to be inspired to create art, without the distractions of life.

However, it’s no 5 star hotel. It has a simple kitchenette, a steaming hot outside shower, and an outside toilet. Its a place to feel in touch with a simpler time, with nature, and with your art.

Wake up under the white lace canopy, and open the huge French doors, letting the morning sun in. Create your art in the open living space, or on the beautiful covered patio.

Find your inspiration while wandering down to the beautiful Chichester River for a refreshing swim in the numerous deep pools. With 1km of river front to explore you can: swim in the pebbly river beach of Platypus Pool, plunge into the deep swimming holes in Figtree Pool, which the flowing of rapids, or enjoy the stillness of the bridge of silence.

In the evening you can continue your work by the outdoor fire pit right at the patio edge,
