Wangat Lodge is a tranquil bush retreat for family holidays, group activities, School camps, training courses, and conferences.
The Lodge is set in peaceful natural surroundings 20km north of Dungog, on the northern side of the Hunter Valley and in the foothills of the Barrington Tops. Travelling time is 1 1/4 hours from Newcastle and around 3 hours from Sydney.
Wangat Lodge is constructed of mud-bricks and locally hewn timber. It is situated on a 37 hectare Wildlife Refuge bordered by a pristine stretch of the Chichester River and overlooking the Barrington Tops National Park.

Wangat offers comfortable low-cost accommodation from 2 to up to 57 people.
Weekend bookings are typically taken by groups of family/friends (or just two people) getting away from it all or for club/church social outings or even yoga retreats.
Mid-week periods are taken by school camps, family holiday programs (see Special Events), painting workshops, bushwalkers and increasingly attract conferences and training workshops.
