Group Accommodation
Barrington Tops, Hunter Valley NSW

Large group accommodation is no problem at Wangat Lodge with 10 comfortable hostel-style bedrooms sleeping up to 46 or up to 58 if you include the two self-contained Cottages. The Main Hall is big enough for everyone to come together to share a conversation, a meal or a reception – up to 80 people.

The forest amphitheatre provides a wonderful natural setting for commitment ceremonies, recitals and outdoor gatherings. For more casual gatherings there is a large outdoor fire pit and BBQ with tiered seating.

Wangat Lodge is a Wildlife Refuge so you are likely to see possums, wallabies, bandicoots and a goanna or two during your stay. There are superb pools for swimming in the Chichester River and walking trails extend from Wangat into the State Forest and Barrington Tops National Park. At weekends Wangat's resident naturalists are on hand to guide walks and lead night-time activities – star-gazing, spotlighting, frogging expeditions.... at no extra charge. Great for kids! Throughout the year students attending our Lightfoot School Camps enjoy many of the same activities.

This is a wonderful place for friends to relax, in fact many groups keep coming back year after year to this special home away from home set in the woodlands above the Chichester River. We are happy to help you organise your retreat, workshop, conference, special celebration or gathering of friends. A comprehensive Organiser's Guide is available on request.
