Sydney to Wangat Lodge Travelling via the F3 Freeway:
Hit the trip meter reset button at the Wahroonga entrance onto the Freeway.
Stay on the Freeway, At 120 km you will come to the End Freeway sign, then some 6 km later to a sign indicating a roundabout ahead.

Alternative "A" Route to Dungog via Maitland.
Straight ahead through the roundabout is "National 15 - Brisbane via New England Highway", marked with a "Maitland Tamworth" sign.
This is Weakley's Road and runs about 2 km before meeting the New England Highway at a T-junction. Turn LEFT at this junction and follow on the divided carriageway through East Maitland and into Maitland to the first roundabout.
Take the Paterson/Shopping Centre exit, then immediately cross a railway bridge to another roundabout - follow the Paterson exit again. Under a kilometre to a third roundabout - straight ahead following the Paterson sign again. Then very soon a cross road and traffic lights - straight across here following the Paterson/Dungog sign.
Now it's plain sailing to Dungog.
Alternative "B" Route to Dungog via Raymond Terrace.
Turn right at the roundabout following the signs to Taree via the Pacific Highway. At Hexham you veer left over the Hunter River and soon leave the highway for Raymond Terrace at a roundabout. Almost through Raymond Terrace, at MacDonalds take the left turn marked to Dungog. Proceed to Dungog passing through Seaham and Clarence Town. Now it's plain sailing to Dungog.
Once you get to Dungog
**Please note Schools on LightFoot Rainforest Adventures will get specific instructions on where to direct the bus depending on their chosen program.
At Dungog follow the Shopping Centre sign, then down the main street to the Bank Hotel/National Bank crossroads (cenotaph in middle of junction). Left here, then follow signs to Chichester Dam, staying resolutely on the bitumen until, about 20 km from Dungog, you see Wangat Lodge and Melia signs on the right our roadside number is 1938. Now follow the narrow gravel road about 800 m in to the Lodge.
Alternatives
Motorcyclists, or those driving Morgans, Studebaker convertibles or Mini Mokes, may prefer the leisurely option of the Putty Road via Richmond to Singleton, then via Gresford to the Chichester Dam Road. A couple of hours longer but hugely more enjoyable as long as you don't have on board a "how much further?" or a "I feel sick Mum"....
