Self-Run Camps
An alternative to visiting Wangat for one of our LightFoot Camps is to run your own program.
School groups use Wangat Lodge for band camps, retreats, peer support camps, writing camps, gifted and talented programs, creativity, ecology and more.
University groups come to Wangat for live-in programs focusing on ecology, geogrpahy, visual arts, environmental education.......
Your self-run program may benefit from the involvement of Ken, Helen or Jane in leading bushwalks, providing technical assistance with identifications, guiding groups to favourite swimming places, embarking on frogging expeditions or spot-lighting tours, percussion and singing sessions....
We have a slide program that introduces Wangat, its history, plant and animal life and other visitor attractions; and a Wilderness Meditation slideshow set to music.

A Teachers' Handbook is available on request to help you plan your visit. We recommend a pre-visit to help you get a feel for the place and to make the most of what Wangat has to offer your program. To help you make your decision we have collected comments from teachers and children who have participated in our programs over the years.
